Chicago Drum Show 2014 Last viewed: 5 seconds ago

May is still a little ways off. Bev's sister lives in Chicago so that may be a good motivator to make the trip. If I can, I will. It'll be my first trip to the show, let me think about it. I've been buying a lot lately, I really need to stop. If I go to the show - I know I'll just buy more!

It's really the only thing holding me back. Why go if I'm not going to pick up a thing or two, and God help me if I do. I'll have to go to vintage drum rehab!

John

Too many great drums to list here!

John.

You have over three and a half months to sell some some gear to raise money to buy gear at the show to replace the gear you first sold.LoLoLoLo

I have gone only twice and the first time I bought a shirt, second year three shirts, The Ludwig Book and three raffle tickets, which won me a nice Sabian cymbal. So you dont have to buy anything big, its still fun just lurking around meeting people and trying out drums.

Thank you!

I got an idea john, when you get to the show, hook up with me and hand over your wallet and checkbook to me, ill keep it safe. :D. Or just take a certain amount of cash and when the cash is gone, you're done spending. You could start a savings jar, throw a dollar or two in at the end of each day, by may you will have some spending money.

Im only going for the fellowship and fun, of course i may pick up a cupl souvenirs but mostly i just want to be there.

Me and Randy'll be there. I'm getting drumsets and snares together already. Bring earplugs, and a bottle opener.

Don't forget me! Need I place a chip order? Very easy to pack inside a big ole WFL.

I went one year with a drummer friend from my town, and he didn't buy one thing,I don't think!

I asked him why...and he said "I didn't really see anything that caught my eye"...

I was like...WTF?..Are you smoking crack?

He drove almost 400 miles round trip..........didn't buy a thing...amazing..!

I go every year. It's a 100 mile trip for me. Not bad. I look at everything. I buy a t-shirt, buy a few parts . I spend about $50 total. The part that is amazing to me is the clinics. I watch every one and always come away just amazed at the skill and knowledge that I see.
