Here's a not too great picture of mine. It's one of the last of the Chicago made drums. It's been my #1 snare since I picked it up a little over a year ago.

Thanks everyone, sweet looking drums!
Jinx - Seeing how that shell came out makes me want to set up a dental lab downstairs! LOL Pro quality job!
K.O. - The sound of the bronzes -is- addicting, isn't it? I had a hell of a time taking it off the stand to use another snare for awhile. Every few months or so I like to switch up the gear I play daily. Just to break up the routine. But the bronze sat there in the snare basket no matter which kit I had set-up. It just sounded great with all of them. Hard not to make it your number one.
Keep em coming... great drums!

my new to me bronze arrived yesterday. tore it apart today for a good cleaning. fixed the loose badge and added some 20 strand Ludwig script wires. I think it turned out pretty nice. looking forward to playing it some tonight.

Wow! That shell came out great, Mike. What did you use on it?
John
thanks john. didn't use much at all. mine still had the original clear over the bronze. there is some tarnish underneath. nothing I could do about that. looks fine to me. since I had the cape cods out polishing the chrome, I just lightly wiped the shell down with those and then buffed clean. the drum was just dirty basically.

Well....I guess I better start looking for one of these....too many great reviews!! I'm sucked in on another one

they sound amazing.....
ive always said that my early 20's 5x14 heavy shell 8 lugger is my best sounding snare. the 5x14 hammered bronze is very close to this in my opinion. coincidence that both shells are real heavy, brass and bronze??

It'll be the last snare drum you'll ever need, and it will become your number one the second you lay into it. Well worth the expense and a snare drum that should be in every drummers arsenal. It's a secret weapon! Surprisingly few drummers are hip to them.
