1958 Slingerland Set Last viewed: 6 seconds ago

I have a 1958 Slingerland Drum set. I do not play drums and know little to nothing about them. Can anyone give me more information please? I have research the internet some but have not found conclusive information leading to the "worth" of this set. I will list as much as I can/know and add some photos. Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

Sparkling Silver Pearl or Aqua Sparkle Pearl. Looks more silver to me but looking at the online charts, I'm not sure.

The small tom is missing the bottom hoop, bolts and head.

The hi-hat stand is a leedy.

The snare stand and cymbal stand are not labeled.

The wood has a red tent to them.. Like oak.

Peral kick petal (I'm sure just a newer replacement)

The Hi-hats are stamped "meinl-ambico camber" "Made in West-Germany"

Drums are marked 1958 on the inside. Different months and days.

It's silver sparkle; the floor tom is by Kent; the bass drum looks to be 12" deep which is unusual; the snare looks to be a single ply, possibly a Super Gene Krupa. Value would depend on how you want to sell it, all as one kit or as seperate pieces (my recommendation).

Cool1

Never play it the same way once.

It looks like the floor tom has Leedy lugs, I'm not sure if Slingerland owned Leedy at the time, but either way you have a nice silver sparkle kit. Since Slingerland usally doesn't bring as much, I'd say they could sell for $600-700, but that's just my opinion.

Hey Ed does this snare drum only have six lugs on it? it looks as if it does? also this looks like a plied shell to me not a solid shell. the brown wood your seeing is Mahogany, the hihat stand I have one just like it, the sale in the$30.00 to $50.00 range, the floor tom is Definitely not Leedy, I think it's an Import cheap O.

The kit has only had one owner. He bought them when he was 8. The floor tom does not have a badge on it. I looked in the hole but could not see any stamps. I'm not a drummer and don't have a drum key to take the head off to be sure.

The bass drum is 12" deep.

Yes the snare only has 6 lugs

The snare looks like one piece of wood to me. Other than the two "rings."

Sorry, I really don't know much about drums.

The floor tom weighs about the same as the bass drum.

ED does the snare drum have a slingerland badge on it? I'm almost 99% sure it's a plied shell not a solid shell can you take a pic of the inside of this drum and show the edges of the drum to determine if it's a solid or plied shell. 6 lugs and a clamshell strainer this is a new one to me?
