Never seen a throwoff and butt assembly like that before, either!

What are the two little yellow bakelite things? Inlets for electric wires for a heater, perhaps?

Please take a picture of the bottom of the snare drum showing the snare wires, too.

O-lugs maybe correct, yes they had electric heating elements for the snare drums and small toms and light bulbs for the bass drums to keep the calf skins in tune from humidity and sudden temperature change! plus it looks cool when the heads are lit up! here is a leedy bass drum that has 3 different colored lights in the bass drum shell! these actually alternate between the three different colored lights!

Hey there, thanks for the responses!!Its great to be told that this kit is a professional level set, thats really good news....regards to the paper labels inside the shells, or any other stamps for that matter inside the shells... there are none...here are some more pictures, the hi hat pedal says SONORUS on it, and what looks like its been carved into it the words "Super Class"... the drums are from belgium that sounds right, bruxelles means brussels a lovely town in belgium, thanks again for the help and the enthusiasm towards the drums, this is getting fun!

I'd say European for sure....here's a Carlton (UK) that I have in a Black Capri version of your "Blue Capri"...

That's my first visit and pls sorry in advance if my English will not fully correct.

It's the absolutely correct info. SONORUS is the oldest Belgian drum company which made a good kits and hardware.

During 1971 - 1980 I used an exellent BD-pedal SONORUS 30-th years. It had a very easy motion and fine kick. Construction was identical to Leedy Fraser 1924' pedal. Pedal's footplate - the same as on shown photo. :)

Now, the company revived. Its history you can read on their new site (but old site was better by my opinion...) : http://www.sonorus.be/
