There's 2 extra holes from a cymbal mount. It's a pre-serial Ludwig kit. Probably the best Ludwigs. I've had two and they were both amazing. Tried to buy the last one back multiple times. Yes, they had newer spurs. Oh well, they work better! Go get them., and quit agonizing the small stuff. They'll be great! For all the talk of "they're worth $350, they're worth $400", let's see them at those prices! Pretty rare to find 3 plies, let alone pre-serials for that..........

I think $500 is the right price for these, and very tempting.

That said, your hesitation is totally valid because, for a couple hundred bucks more, along with a bit of patience, you'll find an unaltered 3 ply keystone in a more interesting finish that you won't regret. If it were me, I'd want a 13" with this kit anyway.

PASS.

Man I could get a nicer one for 800? I haven't seen one anywhere for that price.

I don't know what he has right now, but member johnnyringo always has really nice, original condition drums, and is very reasonable.

But hey... no one, myself included, would blame you for grabbing those drums at that price. They're beautiful and will sound amazing.

But has anyone successfully bought a set from JR? And original? All this one's got is an extra cymbal mount. Two small, easy to fill holes..... Still callin' out the $300 pre-serials! I'd like to see'em. Talk is cheap.

And I'm Mr Cheapdrum!.........
