that japanese mount was added. whether or not it has the same hole patterns as the ludwig is hard to say. might need to do some measuring first to verify.

what are you going to use in that mount though? youve only got the one ride tom right?

Should drop right in. They all have the same hole spacing. Go find a better looking wing bolt. It'll be easier to tighten, too.

I'm not going to use the mount. Just want it to look original

Awesome. Thanks! Do you know what kind of wood these are now? Was the interior of these drums clear from the factory? Because there's no paint where the mount was

You know, if you're not going to use the mount, you could use a

cover plate. This one's from http://www.jp2creations.com/ Kinda cleans up the look, lower profile. I made a brass one from sheet from the hardware store. Just use the base plate as a template......
