Pink Champagne
Luckily I have 3 of these in 60s super classics, but one day I need to get a Downbeat set...hopefully soon.
My first set in 1967 was a Hollywood in pink champagne. It sparkled and morphed under the lights like no other color I've seen since.

Is there a difference between champagne and pink champagne? Curious...
For the most part, the only difference seems to be which company was using it. When I bought my set, in the current Ludwig catalog at that time Ludwig called it "Pink Champagne." In the 60s, however, they called the same finish "Sparkling Pink Champagne" (if my memory serves me correctly -- I did NOT double check!).
Other drum companies called it something else: sometimes just "Champagne Sparkle" or some variation of it.
In the last few years, similar wrap also had different names by different companies. For instance, Precision Drum Co. called it "Bermuda Sand" and if not exactly the same at least it was close. They now offer a "Modern Bermuda Sand" which resembles the old, but it DOES NOT match the old stuff.
At one point within the last year or so I also saw a "Copper and Sliver Sparkle" wrap offered, but can't remember where.
I do love this wrap, and that's why I listed it #1. ModOrange, your description hits-the-nail-on-the-head. It's hard to find now and very expensive when you do find it! I still haven't pulled-the-trigger yet on finishing my Jet repro set with the "Modern Bermuda Sand." I guess I'm still hoping to find some of the old reasonably priced!
