1968, 1974 & 1984 Rogers Dyna•Sonic COB
1971, 1976 Slingerland GK Sound King
1973 Slingerland Festival
1920's-40's Slingerland (US Military) Field Snares (6)
19?- Ludwig Field Snare (US Marines)
1960's Premier Gold Glitter Student Snare kit
1960's-? MIJ Snares (way-way too many)
I've heard that there exist (very rare) snare drums which shells are made by Zildjian (surely not of wood ;).
So it wouldn't wonder me, if there are some Paiste snares out there, too, which shells are made of Paiste's metal formula.

These were a bass drum and a tom. Looked like imports to me.... Im gonna go look again...

there junk, made by sonor very very low line. it's been discussed here before.Poppy what color were they white? poppy here is what all the other posters are gushing about, but what you went to see is Import junk not the bronze spirit of 2002 drums. http://www.paiste.com/public/Press_Releases/2001%20January/DrumInfo-LoRez.pdf
Danny Carey of Tool has been a long time Paiste endorser. He has an entire kit made from Paiste alloy.

Even though that kit is mainly made from bronze, it is kind of what a vintage Ludwig stainless steel kit sounds like.
These are red. They dont look anything like the paiste metal drums....

Poppy that was the two most common colors of those kits in White, and red. Don't waste your time unless you can get them for $25.00 to $50.00 bucks. I've stated it before the Spirit of 2002's Paiste drums are to me the Ultimate drum kit. with a price to boot I may add.
Jeff Ocheltree is the creator of the Paiste "Spirit of 2002" snares as well as Danny Carey's Paiste kit. They are all said to be built from 2002 cymbal alloy. The snares pop up on ebay now and then, usually in the 2k+ range.
There are now some "cheap" offshore-made drums being imported with his name on them as well. (I say cheap because at under 500-800ish retail, they are inexpensive next to his signature drums).
Zildjian made some bronze shells which I believe were assembled into snares by Noble & Cooley. Those too, sell for a pretty penny, just like the Spirit of 2002 snares.
