1971 14x14 LUDWIG SUPER CLASSIC OYSTER BLUE BOWLING BALL FLOOR TOM Last viewed: 1 hour ago

I'm not sure why the thread re: this drum was closed...I never have a problem re: what I paid or sold something for. As a courtesy first though, I asked the buyer if it was ok to share the selling price and he just emailed me that he's fine with it, just no names...so for those that were/are still interested...I paid 30.00, spent 2 hrs. of my time cleaning it, sold it for 600.00.

Closing the thread had NOTHING to do with you Mike... but had everything to do with putting a stop to what would have probably ended up being a classic " P E E I N G CONTEST" between some of the members. I put a halt to it before it accelerated, closing the thread to further rubuttal if you will.

Wow...where did you find a floor tom in that size and wrap for $30.00 in the Bay Area?

Its better to have people think you're an idiot, than to open your mouth and prove them wrong, unless you doubt yourself then speak away....

Hello,

I am the one who asked what the drum sold for. I was curious as I am a big fan of that wrap. I know 14" floor toms command a premium also so I had ask for my own knowledge and future reference. I didn't feel I was out of line so was surprised at the results of my post. Congrats on the sale.

Cool, Mike. Nice sale.

There are people who would have valued that drum at a lot less....and they would have been wrong to do so....because you just never know who's out there. $600.00 for that floor tom is proof.

NOTHING is overpriced if there's someone else out there with money to spend. If I've learned anything in all my years of collecting and selling, this is it.

$600? Wow, that's pretty sweet. I have recently acquired a kit in this same finish. It's a 12/13/16/18/22. I will either end up selling this one or a different Ludwig kit I'm working on. What do you think the price should be on this kit?
