Talk to me about toms on a snare stand

This will be a hot topic for years to come.I,d love to use a bass mounted holder but most of them are useless to me.The one that does work for me is the old swivo matic from Rogers OR, the Pearl equivlancy of that.Lots of range and stury as can be.As far as snare stands for toms,no problem, but the type of stand does make a difference. You,ll have to experiment.

I put a Gauger Flex Frame on my Slingy and love it. Increased resonance immediately and it's very unobtrusive. http://www.gaugerpercussion.com/flexframe.html

I couldn't discern that much difference with one of these for a snare, but I bet it would be a noticeable improvement with a tom. It would also allow more extreme angles since the basket could be clamped tightly against the mount. Warning: There is a weight limit for optimum support. The tom-to-frame connectors are plastic and subject to breakage.
