KapperDog....thanks for the link. Mikey...thanks for the note on the CL sale. Now that I know the Expresso is the model and Jam Session is the line of drums, I am able to find more info on it...and am going to agree with DaSwans and call this kit a rewrap....it's a nice job, though. In my opinion...it looks better than the original wraps that were offered! I may end up lowering the price in order to sell it quick, or may keep it...not sure yet. Thanks again for all the responses!
Non-vintage Slingerland cocktail kit question...
New to forum...do you still have this kit...did you decide to sell?
Hey Bongo,
I ended up selling the kit on CL. I suppose I should have updated this post, but wasn't in the For Sale section. Anyway thanks for asking and welcome!
I know this is a old thread, but I have a slingy expresso cocktail kit exactly like the one that sold on CL pictured at the top of this thread. Mine is white marine pearl and isnt a rewrap. I am gonna play mine tomorrow night at a high school reunion. I was researching info about it and the VDF came up. lol

Don't tell my wife!
Hey Poppy,
I would try a Remo Powerstroke 3 on the bottom head with a falam slam patch and a coated Emperor on top. I ended up converting a floor tom into a micro kick and am using those heads on it and it sounds great! Good luck with the gig tomorrow!
