I use bass mounted also but really prefer them on the right above the floor tom/s. I have an LP mini everything rack mounted to a cymbal stand that's nice.

Front row/center on my bass drum. I use my cowbell and I guess I just got used to playing it in the traditional position on the bass drum hoop. It sits to the left and under my ride, between the rack and the floor toms. It's just an 'easy access' and convenient place to have it. I wouldn't put it anywhere on my left where I'd have to cross my hands to play it. Playing the hats is enough hand crossing for me, thank you very much.

Too many great drums to list here!

My preference is mounted on the bass drum between the snare and floor tom, but it's difficult to do that when my toms are mounted on a Super S-O-M post.

It's not as much of a problem with the Ludwigs pictured on the previous page, but I'm trying to maintain consistent setups with my kits.

I'd love to play a whole set of cowbell rock. We already do "Mississippi Queen" and "Honky Tonk Women." "Lady Love" would be cool, as would "Stone Free."

We have an original that has a cowbell part. I played it as a joke when we were learning it and the writer loved it and won't let me change it.

I mount it to my floor tom hoop, to the right of my ride. I use an LP "Claw" mount, which works great! I play lots of Latin music, so it always comes in handy.

I mount mine on an "L" arm and then onto a Tama ratchet. I leave the "L" arm on the bell and throw it in the hardware case.

On this kit it is on the left of the pic, which is the right side of the kit just over the first floor.
