Whut? Naw!
Far as I know it's just student model stuff. No big dollar deal but they do sound right wicked and I like the provenance - couldn't sell them in good conscience so it keeps me from getting too distracted by gear instead of getting better on the instrument haha.
Thanks though!
Mitch
I almost forgot about this great score. I think that the eBay seller of this item has priced it way too high. He's asking $229 or best offer. It may be worth as much as $100 to someone who really needs it to complete a very old drum set. A few years ago, I saw one on eBay that was ending in a few minutes. There were no bids on the hi-hat stand with clutch. There was a starting price of $9.99. It was about 6:00 AM Central time. I bid the opener price, and won it. The shipping was almost as much as the item. So, for under $20, I have one of these little gems that works perfectly. I just don't play it without shoes on my feet.

1963 Ludwig Downbeat Champagne Sparkle
1964 Leedy (Slingerland) Blue n Silver Duco
1964 Ludwig Club Date Sparkling Silver Pearl
1966 Ludwig Super Classic Sparkling Silver Pearl
1968 Gretsch round badge modern jazz orange stain
1972 Slingerland 85N Pop outfit Light Blue Pearl
1976 Ludwig Vistalite clear
1981 Gretsch SSB Gran Prix Rosewood
1987 Yamaha Turbo Tour Custom Mellow Yellow
1991 Pearl Export Ferrari Red
Here are a couple of mine.
20's Slingerland peacock pearl in mint condition. It is solid mahogany. I got a tip it was sitting on the floor of a rural music store. When I saw it, my jaw dropped as it was so clean I couldn't believe it. After chatting awhile, I asked how much it was. They told me it was a consignment deal and the seller was firm.......$125!
Burgundy sparkle Ludwigs, 12-14-18 with matching bongos and cymbals, One vintage K included. Stands and cases were included for $450
I'm pretty sure all of these deals can be considered theft and illegal. If there was such a thing as the vintage drum police I would turn you all in and keep the drums for my own.
In all seriousness, wow. I will NEVER think any of my deals were steals ever again, haha! This is truly incredible! Thanks for posting all these affordable rescues!
