OK, I'm back from the P.O.!
Tom did an excellent packing job! Bubble wrap, double boxed, couldn't have done it better myself and I've packed a few drums over the years.
THANK YOU, Tom! Clapping Happy2
The drum:
1. Normal wear on hoops, clips and lugs. Some gold-tone has worn off, but it is a 90 year old drum! Looks great nonetheless.
2. The shell is dirty, but it will clean-up like new!
3. I have removed the gut snares, the bulb and the light fixture and put it all away for safe-keeping.
4. Snare head (slunk) has two tears in it, so off it will come.
5. Two screws missing for 1 of the lugs (the light fixture was attached to the back of one of the lugs!) and the strainer is missing a retaining screw and nut. I'm on my way out the door to replace them.
Here are some 'Before' shots. Enjoy! More to come...
