TommyP: I don't currently own an iPhone. However, if it will make me sound as good as you do in that recording I'm going to run out in the morning and get one! Great looking kit and great sounding drummer! THANKS for sharing.
Show off your gigging kits Last viewed: 56 minutes ago
Every Sunday night with this one, Crown MIJ.
Again very good playing, what frustrates me is that I can't practice anywhere with my normal acoustic drums, the only way I can really practice is on my Roland electric with ear phones, I can be amazing on it, but it maybe doesn't help technique when on normal kit -which is obviously what I use when I play with people, in sat morning community band we use one of them traps kits (w/t no shells) but I've been able to bring my radio king and 22" trans stamp ride though.
Glenn!THANK YOU for the very kind words! So glad that you enjoyed! I'm working the Infinity Music Hall in Hartford with the Sinatra Show next Saturday the 17th, 8:00PM. Maybe we could meet! http://www.infinityhall.com/Events/the-sounds-of-frank-the-ultimate-musical-tribute-to-frank-sinatra-1-17-2015/Tommyp
Tommy, sadly we are watching our Grandkids that weekend or we'd be there! They booked this gig a few months in advance as they are heading out of state for a wedding. :) I just checked the SOF website for future shows but just saw the 1-17-15 show listed. I've been really wanting to see you guys!! So please let me know soon as more shows are on the calander please. Thanks!
Not a guru just havin fun with some old dusty drums.

This is my latest "go-to" gig kit. 20,12,15.

Gary!
I guess the fact that Jeff was interested in this particular kit supplied the impetus for me to check out the recording capabilities of the iPhone 6 .. otherwise .. you guys know that I tend to keep a low profile here as the forum is for all of you! That said though, THANK YOU for the very kind words! Goes without saying, all the patterns/fills on that video are just for fun!, and have very little to do with the drummer's actual role in backing a band/vocalist, as you well know! It is nice to air it out every now and then though. Truth is, I do have a solo spot in the Sinatra Show, so... some of it does make it's way there!
I'll attach a couple pics that show the set in better light, as I did gig these for a little over a year before going back to the Rogers!

Just thought I'd throw it out there as Hartford is close, and tickets are within reason. Brand NEW 500 seater, state of the art acoustics/sound. I doubt we can draw even close to 500 in January, but we're hoping for around 250 anyway. THANKS for even considering though! Regarding the calendar:
I have three more Sinatra dates in January, but they are all PRIVATE, and... for whatever reason, the Google Calendar is glitching as the dates are there!... but not showing publicly. THANKS for the alert. I'll check it out!

:)All respect to you tommy pKeep on Pl
Tommy thanks I'll check back on the calander. We have wanted to catch your show for some time now! If I thought there was a chance the boys would sit and watch we'd bring them along. But the 4 yr old no way he can sit still for a minute. :D I hope you guys pack the house!
Sorry getting OT here.

My apologies for the slight OT departure too!, but... pretty rare that I would do that on any thread, so... hopefully you guys understand! That said:
Olddrumgeek!
I wanted to make mention that yeah, that's terrible that you have no outlet for acoustic drum practice. Yes, one can keep their chops in place using other things, but it's just not the same. Great thing is that you are playing/gigging!, as that isn't always easy to find. Did you ever consider a dedicated "drum room" with sound proofing? Just curious as a friend of mine is in the exact same situation, and we just designed a "room" for him so he can actually practice/play on acoustic drums, yet be able to completely dismantle it if needed. Perhaps a thought?! THANKS again for your very nice words and support!
Glenn!
The "Sinatra Show" cranks during the summer months.. and .. just about ALL of the performances are FREE and open to the public! I am doing an Entertainment Showcase in February where all the agents and entertainment bookers go to see/sign the summer schedule of performers for those concert series. Once the schedule is in place, I'll get 'em up on the calendar. Maybe we can meet this summer! THANKS for your positive attitude and support regardless!
