Kevin,
I was really pleased to hear you finally got the long lost OBP Jazz Festival. It looks killer with your kit. Congratulations and enjoy it, and make sure it gets played, maybe on your next gig !

Oh Yeah, I'm planning to play this sucker, although I might get an ATA flight case to transport to gigs it in.
I ordered some new Ludwig heads for it last night. I usually use Evans or Remo but it seemed more appropriate to have the Ludwig logo on the heads for this drum.
Wow, do I feel dumb or what Tommy? Wouldn't an original version of "She Loves You" still be better for us neophytes though?
Not as dumb as I felt as a dopey teen when I picked up a used copy of a 1966 album "Beatles in Brass and Percussion. Thought I had a real find until I played it, and realized it was all instrumentals!
90's Premier Signia
Love your set.Buck Rogers snare stand and a Premier cymbal stand to go with the Swivomatic Tom holder.Where and what brand is your bicycle throne seat?Haven't seen one anywhere except Ringo's of course.Just bought a re wrapped Jazz Festival.Who knows when I'll find a real one that doesn't cost more than the rest of the set.Jim
Example of Rogers,Slingerland,Gretsch,Premier and Ajax sets.
Various '60's and '70's US,English and Japanese snare drums.

Thanks!
The throne is a Premier model and the same type that Ringo used about 99% of the time.
I have this set put together to match up to what Ringo used in "A Hard Day's Night". At the time the Swivo mount was in place on set #2 (which still had its original rail mount when seen on the Ed Sullivan show earlier in the year), Ringo was using a Buck Rogers snare stand, the Premier throne, and, for some reason, had replaced one of his 1400 cymbal stands with a Premier model (actually an Olympic as I understand it). I'm guessing that the throne and the cymbal stand might be items he kept when he traded in his Premier set in '63.
I also have a 13/16/22 OBP set but the weather here has turned a corner so I may not have a chance to do a "photo op" with it and the new snare yet this year.
