After literally decades of hunting for one I could afford I finally scored an original Oyster Black Jazz festival to go with my Ringo sets. It wasn't cheap but was relatively affordable as these things go. My quest (begun around 1984) to have a complete "Ringo" set has finally ended.

Here's some video I shot this past Sunday of my set with the new addition.

Wouldn't a Beatles tune be more fitting?

70s Slingy WMP
70s Ludwig Standard Aqua Mist
60s Ludwig Champagne Sparkle Downbeat
and a whole bunch of snares and hardware

cnw20!

Seriously? It IS a Beatles tune! It's "She's a Woman", but arranged for big band as an instrumental. Nice spin on it actually!

So that means you'll have the whole kit and kaboodle in the For Sale section pretty soon, right??

Is that Sergio Mendes and Brasil '66? Or was that '67? 68 1/2?

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.
