Super! I gave up on ever being able to afford an original. Settled on a 2013 classic maple reissue in the bop. Very happy with how well the finish matches my original 67 bop downbeat. Still trying to decide if I like the sound versus Acrolite or Supraphonic. What year is your kit? Don't recognize the tom mount. Enjoy.

Congrats Kevin! It's always a great feeling when you find just the right matching snare drum for an incomplete kit. Mike Layton helped to get a matching J-Fest for my pre-serial SBP kit. I was on cloud nine for weeks after I got it.
The circle has been squared! :p

Wow, do I feel dumb or what Tommy? Wouldn't an original version of "She Loves You" still be better for us neophytes though?

60s Ludwig Champagne Sparkle Downbeat
and a whole bunch of snares and hardware
Yes it would be but it would also make it very likely that my video would get taken down within a few days for copyright infringement. I've been down that road before with my other Beatle kit video and that was due to using the Ventures version of I Feel Fine. That video now has had the audio replaced (by Youtube)with a totally inappropriate, but public domain, classical piece. Additionally I don't think that video comes up in search results ever since it was pulled due to the copyright issue. It had amassed over 145,000 hits in about a year when first posted but has not been seen much since the music was changed...maybe people just don't like the music.
As mentioned above this is a Beatles tune (She's a Woman) on the new one but a fairly obscure (although tasty) jazz version off an old LP I have. It's the Collins/Shipley group....whoever they might be.
Here's the 2008 version, sans original catchy soundtrack....and Jazz festival snare.

I`m sure Ringo would feel quite at home with this set. Many happy returns on achieving that last and final missing piece of that elusive puzzle.I`m sure Richard Starkey would be smiling...

That's a Rogers Swivo-matic tom mount, like the ones Ringo had installed on three of his four Ludwig OBP sets.
Ha!
Thought the music was Buddy doing his "Rock" thing......with a Beatles tune....

Other than lacking drum solos the charts all have a very Buddy Rich band feel to them.
Thanks~! I looked on YT and could not find anything. I'll just grab the album.
