heyis it normal when the rim is off that the shell seems to be so easily "distordable" (?!)it seems very very thin. I noticed the re-ring "jointure" was a little unglued. maybe this explains that not ?Can I fix by my own the re-ring with wood glue???Thanks!Charles

That's a typical problem as most the re-rings have "popped" at the joints. I've yet to hear about or see them get any worse. I'd leave it be. LA Camco shells are very thin and quite undersized so yes they will flex with the hoops off the drum.
