Camco set w/24" bass Last viewed: 54 seconds ago

Here is my Camco set I bought from Jack's Drum Shop in Boston in 1970 or 71. I had played on a set in a recording studio and loved the sound. I actually went across the street and ordered a set for myself. I had been playing Rogers Drums and liked the hardware, so I had Ed at Jack's install Rogers hardware. Still love the drums.

Those are so sweet,... !

Which Camco period are they from?

Did you ever consider to install Rogers floor tom hardware on that 14" tom?

A 1up 2down configuration including a 6.5" snare in that finish and the Rogers hardware,... It doesn't get any better than that !!!

6.5 x 14 from Oaklawn or Chanute era is rare. I finally found one last year in a rare color too, Oaklawn ebony stain.

Nice kit! I've never seen interiors that dark before either!

That's one beautiful Camco kit! Customizing it with Rogers hardware just puts it over the top! While I have no real issues with Camco's hardware during this time period, drummers went crazy for Swivomatic hardware. You really proved the point with all Rogers appointments.

Thanks for sharing this wonderful kit!

What was the rationale with getting the 14x14 with no mounting or legs?

Did you run the 14" as an optional Tom? Or did you always play it as its set up?
