There is absolutely NOTHING wrong with that era tom mount found on RB kits. That style was the strongest (best) of the several dual styles that follow...

Wow nice! They made the brass 6.5 during the 1970s but not very many of them were ever produced so seeing this gem is a beautiful site to be seen.
