It's nice to have a neighbor that is into drums, ain't it? I have met two members of the forum locally so far.

I cleaned up the cymbals and found a Zildjian stamp. The stamp is so faint and my camera is not picking it up. Does anyone know of a way to bring out the stamp some more with out damaging the cymbals. I need help with the ID. Any suggestions are appreciated. thanks, James

Try rubbing some ashes into it. Then, when you get the pix, it will wash right out. Try to get some good dark ash. I no lomger smoke, so you may want to look in the fioreplace, or just burn up a piece of paper.

Jstix, I figured out my cameras macro setting. I'm going to try the ash on the last shot. 1 & 2 are the 14" hats 776g/865g and the 3rd is a 15" cymbal at 1297g. seems kinda heavy for a crash. given the Centenial High school engraving it could be 1 half of some concert cymbals. just a guess on my part.

I added with the ash. it's a little better, but still hard to see.
