Can someone help me date the SpeedKing and the hihat stands. I bought some stuff from a local musician. It was listed on CL as "drum set for a small child". I called the day after he submitted his ad and asked if he would accept $125 for his stuff. He replied maybe. He had a lot of calls already so I replied if it didn't sale, let me know. I was talking to my bud Larry(LandenLarry) a couple days later about it and he suggested I call him to see if he sold them. I emailed him instead since I was pretty busy at work and lo and behold he said he still had the stuff so i asked if he would still take my offer. He said if i got there first. I got there first. I know the Acrolite needs some cleaning as does the speed king, but he threw in a box of cymbals and a couple extra pedals and stands. I think the Acrolite is from the 70s, serial # 2205280, but I don't know about the cymbals or stands and of course the majestic drums. the majestic stuff is missing the bottom hardware and heads. the lone wing tom is a CB 700. The Cymbals on the left have no marks anywhere that I can see and I've never heard of NuVader. Any help would be appreciated. thanks, James

that flat based wfl hi hat stand is a good one. that is an 1121 model. it appears to be the last version of it that had the slip on convential rubber leg ends instead of the riveted flat round button leg bottoms. if so, its circa early 60's. it also might have come with a title for the bottom hat as the other 1121's did not.
beside it looks like a ludwig 1123-1 hi hat stand that was used for years,65-the 70's.

Would you consider letting go of the Majestics? Also, the "Top Pedal" bass whacker is very possibly the original that came with the the Majestics as well...Those happen to be the right ones for my projects. Please PM with thoughts! Remember, they are for the kids....And you could throw in the Acrolite for my willingness to take them off your hands....LoLoLoLo
"I enjoy restoring 60s Japanese "stencil" drums...I can actually afford them..."I rescue the worst of the old valueless drums for disadvantaged Children and gladly accept donations of parts, pieces and orphans, No cockroaches, please...

Mike, I need to clean those a bit, they are pretty filthy and something might be hidden under the dirt. I'll post with what I find. Thanks, James
