OK, I guess everthing I own is a "deal". I have two sets of drums, two h-h, a pile of 7 snares, a few cymbals and various drum stuff.

I have less than 400 in all of it, and realistically, if I had to place a value on them, based on the completed sales of other people's stuff, I would have to say I am in the black, way in the black.

To wit:

1) (1) 1976 Ludwig Acrolite......$000.00Yes Sir

2) (5) Various MIJ snares.........$ 65.00 +/-

3) (1) 1968ish Majestic by Star $ 50.00 w/hats, stands, cymbals etc.

4) (1) Age unknown WMP 4 pc $215.00 including all parts to restore

5) variuos parts and pieces.......$ 80.00 Ghost pedal, TAMA pedals, etc.

I guess that makes the Acro the best deal of all, free! So that makes for about 1500-1750 if I had to sell everything. I don't like the prospect of asking for that kind of money for my MIJ drums, but if that is what the market will bear...I guess I'm in. Now, if I can just keep buying them for next to nothing Car Driving2

I recently got a 1942 Slingerland "Rolling Bomber" kit. 24, 13, 16, 14 (snare) with all the original hardware and cymbals. The kit came with an extra gold and black Duco snare. I think the extra snare id from 1938.

If anyone knows anything about "Rolling Bomber" kits I'd appreciate any info. Thanks!!

The very best deal I ever got was this. This is not drums but it is related to drums. In 2005 or 6 this chinese company approached me and offered me these chinese interior leather kits that fit all the biggest selling cars at the time. They sent me 40 kits. I didnt sell many of them because I was worried about the warrentee aspect of them. I sold 2 of them and payed them for them. After a few yrs they wanted them back, so I said come get em. They asked what Id give for them I offered $1,000 and they accepted. The sat on my shelf for a few more yrs untill I decided to list them on ebay. I sold every one of them in nothin flat. I got $299-399 for each kit. I netted over $13,000 on selling them. I had a paypal debit card and all kinds of money in my paypal account. I probably spent 1/2 of it on drums! I bought virtually anything I wanted off of ebay. I hope this post is acceptable to the forum.

Well it's not that recent...but I found this Premier 303 sitting in a garbage pile on the side of the road. All I have done is put hoops & heads on resonant side as well as bass drum resonant, cleaned and played. Virgin shells, no apparent damage.
