Nice drum! I assume there is something affixed to the shell to hold the light socket?

Can you post a photo of the mount for the light?

Nothing to see really. It's just some extra long screws that attach the lug (nearest to the vent hole where the wire passes into the drum,) to the base of the light bulb fixture. I even have the original bulb although it doesn't turn on anymore. It'll work with a replacement bulb.

More photos in the drum gallery:

I will be happy to supply extra photos for serious buyers. PM me if you're 'serious' about buying - and not just curious, or kicking the tires.

Thanx,

John

John, I'm serious about seeing the lighting mount. If it is a physical mount that was added, I think you should include a photo of that. Am I missing a photo of it already??i guess I'm confused if the base of the bulb fixture is a mount attached to the shell.

Hey john is that the snsre I look at in Chicago u restored they al came with lite to keep calf warm so they would not loose tension as most venues had no heat by stage

April 2nd 1969 scarfed pink champagne holly wood and 65/66 downbeat snare, and , supra same year very minty kit old pies
66/67 downbeat with canister
Super 400 small round knob
1967 super classic obp

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

Gary - Yes! Same drum!!!

Mendozart - Not 'forced' to sell, but I need the money for something else I want. I am asking only what I paid for it. It's worth much more, but I don't do ebay. I just want to pull my funds back out of the drum. I'm 67, I never use it, it can now be the crown j e wel of somebody else's collection for awhile.

Sorry optic... I'd love to stop and answer every question from the members, but this is a 'for sale' ad, I'm not 'showing off' the drum to entertain, or educate the guys, it's not a 'thread' - I'm trying to sell it.'' :D

All inquiries from -serious- buyers will be answered.
