I checked all the catalogues... looks like a combination of the "professional" with the handle of the "super" strainer...

I can't find this on any of their snares in the 192x catalgoes

It's called a "Timepiece" strainer. The lever is loosened and off to the right in the picture though.

I think $800 is more than a fair price for that snare. Looks to be all original, in really amazing condition.

That strainer is the "Professional" and was introduced in 1928. Discontinued in 1935.

It a stick throw. If you loosen the lever and set it to come above the hoop, you can throw it on and off with your stick.

It`s a drum,.....Hit It !!
