Got my favorite kits set up finally

Loading...

I spent the better part of yesterday (my off day) re-skinning and setting up my three favorite kits. I finally have enough hardware, drum seats etc. to set the kits up and play them one after the other. Or, jam simultaneously with my 11 year old (he has yet to fully catch the bug). My most recent acquisition is severely faded but wonderful sounding Ludwig transition badge four piece in Sky Blue Pearl. Date stamp says December 1958. It was originally a Hollywood kit, but one of the 12 inch toms is long gone. The jazz festival sounds unbelievable. The shells are in amazing shape. The other recent purchase is a 1971 Ludwig four piece in Oyster Blue Pearl. Lastly is the Walberg & Auge kit. This kit sounds and looks amazing. Anyway, I just wanted to share.

Looks great,...nice collection there...!

But, (small but) looks like there in a basement...

I came very close to losing my 3 vintage Rogers kits, (Feb/15)

When my b/m started to flood with water from a burst pipe.

(I found it an hr after it started)..! kits were all set up in the furthest corner ...Man, did I run fast..lol

Maybe build a 6" raiser...

It would make the drums sound even better as well,..lol

Seriously? You just bought that W&A. I wish I would've grabbed that kit when it was in my back yard.

Good luck with your sale.
