Just picked up a beautiful Mahogany 20" bass drum with original heads in great shape for 200 bucks shipped.

It is the start of my second Slingerland kit. My first is a mixture of "64 and '65 Black Diamond Pearls.

The serial number of this bass is 178376. I'm thinking late '60's maybe '67 or '68.

Can anyone get me any closer?

I don't physically have it yet. I just won the eBay auction. I'll get it in a few days. I had to buy it. It's a great looking drum. I will make a nice kit.
