I´m collecting Ludwig 70´s B/O snares and a while ago I found this:

Super Classic in Black Panther! Everything is original and stock.

Super Classic with B/O is rare .....and this one is in BLACK PANTHER!!!!

It was listed on Ebay as "Snare Drum" Excited

Wooden snares from the 70´s are rare as hell......it seems like most people bought a Supraphonic or Vistalite....

I have all the ones listed in the 70´s catalogs, exept the 3"x13" Jazz Combo......it seems impossible to find?!?

My Pioneer 6.5"x14" is the only one I´ve seen.....

A nice Ludwig snare drum collection! The 3x13 Jazz Combo is currently up for sale on eBay, item 271907885232. My only issue is the seller! Still, I rarely see this drum for sale. Check it out and let us know!

They were drums wrapped in a Tolex style material, the same stuff that black guitar amps are usually wrapped in. Occasionally Ludwig put BP right over another wrap that wasn't selling well. There have been a couple of lucky folks who found citrus mod wrap under the BP.

I think I saw that one in his collection Mark. It should be a metal ludalloy drum anyway. I think he's looking for the real jazz combo wooden drum.

Thanks for that info. I have a drummer friend that's had a 6 piece Pro Beat outfit in this same material. I just assumed someone just had too much time on their hands and recovered it in a nagahyde-type material. I think he still has that kit.
