I was there yesterday. I got to meet TommyP. Outstanding guy! The display is awesome! That and the Danial Glass clinic was the highlight of the show for me.
Stop in say hi I'm in 126 with the old drum head on wall gary
66/67 downbeat with canister
Super 400 small round knob
1967 super classic obp
once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.
Great looking display! Bet you guys are having a great time there. Hi Tommy!! :D Look forward to seeing more picture as time permits. Must be a very special year being the 25th show and all. Would have loved to see the Steve Smith and Daniel Glass clinic's too. Saw some really cool 25th snares from AK Drums on Facebook. Have seen a few random pics from the show there too. Hope some of you can take a bunch of shots and post them for us not there. Thanks!
Hey Jeff sorry you missed the show. Hope you can get there next year.
Not a guru just havin fun with some old dusty drums.

That BR display was exceedingly cool.
I was unaware that Buddy had ever used a hammered bronze Ludwig. I have an '84 just like the one in the display, it's my #1 snare anyway but knowing Buddy used a similar drum makes it even a bit more special.

Have fun Jeff and bet you'll set some land speed records getting there. Eye Ball

That is so cool! Seize the day! This might be a dumb question, but does 150 miles translate to roughly 3 hours travel? ....based on 55mph Interstate speed limit...?

Well, Im sure glad I decided to go, it was on a shoestring budget but I did it. It was really nice meeting Tommy and David, they are both really nice guys, enjoyed chatting with you !
Always nice to Talk with Mark Cooper and look over his amazing collection. I played on one kit, the best one at the show, a silver sparkle Jenkins Martin kit. Had a beer with Greg and Jerry's son, also had a beer with Gary (jaghog), thanks guys for taking the time to talk with me and sip a cold one. Walked out with one souvenir, a maple/poplar/mahogany/poplar/maple 4x 14" shell from Bernie Stone.
Also got to meet Bob Saull from Carolina Classics and had a nice chat with Randy Rainwater. The show was outstanding in everyway, next year it will be moved closer to Chicago and will share the stage with a vintage guitar show, that should be awesome!
A few pics from the event.
Thank you!

Was actually 130 miles, and at 70 MPH + took just over two hours with some road construction in between.
Thank you!
