From Wayne Brown

Some of you guys have all the luck and that was a fine example of "being in the right place at the right time".I hope you can complete this set as it would be well worth the effort and finances if you can. From the $65. you spent you`ve got about $400.-$500 to play with in that set value.Nice timing on this one Phil and best of luck with your decisions on this set.It will ROCK!!!Wayne

True that, but I'm also reminded of the saying "fortune favors the prepared mind".Phil kind of knew what he had was a good deal,he just didn't know...HOW good.Good on ya' mate.

Phil that's a GREAT deal. Well worth the time and effort to put them back together. Pretty easy to find a mounted tom(s) in LBP. Great sizes too!! 20" floor is the big boy. $165 for 1 hoop is steep. Like Mark said place a ad here and keep a eye out. I see them on ebay every so often in the $80 range. Still expensive but at $65 for your investment your still ahead of the game. If the bass is a virgin (didn't see a mount or holes?) you can use a Set-O-Matic setup with a stand. Slingerland made them for both the D shaped tube bass mount. And also a round tube version for a stand. Of course you can just use a snare stand like many do. You can even hang them off a cymbal stand with one of those clamped arm thingys. Sweet deal thanks for the pics.... your gonna love em~!

I was so excited about the drums I forgot this came with it. This is the set o matic you are referring to?? it looks like there is pieces missing.

Yes~! Looks like the round tube version for a stand. I use mine with a single tom even though it's the double design.

So I went back and talked to the guy I bought the drums from today. I wanted to get as much info on the origin of the set. (I left to quick the first time and forgot to ask questions....yes I know...newbie).....anyway....he said the set was a double bass originally...2 24" bass drums, a 12 and 14 rack and the 2 floor toms....MAN how amazing would that kit have been....unfortunately the drums were in a flood in the storage unit and he trashed all the wet drums and just kept the ones I bought.....SO....question is....What is the likelihood of me finding a virgin 24" LBP BD and a 12 and 14 tom???? And what would the whole set be worth if I found all the pieces?
