Can anyone identify these drums?

Hello guys. I am new here and I would like to know if these drums are anything special? I know some of the hardware looks like old slingerland hardware. Any help would be great!

It looks like a mij (made in japan) kit to me. A Star kit i think. It is very similar to a kit i have. Im sure someone will post with better info tho.

+1 on what robyn64 has said and they look to be in great condition with nice wrap and tight seams.Don`t think they are anything special, but i`ll let others decide on that one.Welcome to the forum Codymac.

I can identify those drums; they're the ones I want!

Definitely MIJ. Typical asking price in Canada around $350.00....half or less in the U.S.

They already look amazing - you can make them sound that way too. Congrats!

Think they may be worth getting the rest of the hardware?

I am missing the rings and hardware for one side of every drum including the bass drum:(

You seem to know what they might be. Any type of brand or year?

MIJ - late sixties possibly, more likely, early seventies. The original tom mount was changed to a Ludwig (style or actual) post. A few extra holes.

Here in California, for the three drums, the value 'could' be as high as around a hundred bucks... maybe, if someone needed that wrap. Normally about half that in this condition.

'Rings' are called Rims on the toms, and a hoop on the bass, depending on who you talk to.

As far as who made 'em, it really doesn't matter, that much. The major manufacturers at the time were Hoshino and Pearl. It could be anyones guess what they were marketed with.

With proper tuning and correct heads, those will be nice drums. A good practice kit.

Welcome to the 'place'!

Welcome Codymac! Yup most def MIJ. Elements do point to Star. The lug indentations seem more "dimpled" than the Pearl made stencil kits that i've been restoring. you could look for residue around the vent hole where a foil badge might have been and compare the shape to badges at vintage drum guide, but some stencil kits were sold unbadged too. There is a ton of good reading material on here about MIJ drums/stencil kits and tons of opinions about them. I just like tinkering with them on a limited budget and i have a thing for really groovy wraps. I am particularly fond of the earlier 60's ones with re-rings. I'd fix yours up and give 'er a test drive.

1964 Ludwig Champagne Super Classic
1970 Ludwig Blue Oyster Super Classic
1977 Rogers Big R Londoner 5 ebony
1972/1978 Rogers Powertone/Big R mix ebony
60's Ludwig Supersensitive
Pearl B4514 COB snare ( the SC snare)
Pearl Firecracker
PJL WMP maple snare
Odds & Sods

Sabians, Paistes, Zildjians, Zyns, UFIPs, MIJs etc

This is very much my feeling on the topic, and I only deal in MIJ kits.

I would only add that I have played lots of shows with MIJ, as well as practiced with em....:)
