How many foreign countries have you played drums in?

Spain, France, Belgium and Holland for me while on tour with my band, Moonlight Trio. When I was in Belgium I got to meet Stedi from our forum, so that was cool. He even let me borrow a snare and cymbals the next time I came out. Most Europeans in general will respect and appreciate live music much more than most, if not all, crowds in the US. Good times!

I played on some guy's vintage Tamas in his garage when I was on a pilgrimage to Santiago in Spain. I was suffering from drum-withdrawal then, so that helped me a lot. We even did a small jam with my friends from my former band there.

I also played cajon in Regensburg, Bavaria, few weeks ago. Very friendly and generous people there, I tell you!

All in all, not that much, but I'm not done with travelling nor playing yet, I hope.

mexico and England.

in the late 90's i went to mexico for about a month and we visited a resort. they had this house band that played 80's covers. my friends knew that i played so while i was in the bathroom they asked the band if i could sit in. i came out of the bathroom and everyone was staring at me. the lead singer anounced that i would be a guest drummer on the next song so i just rolled with it. we did some elvis song as i remember. it was a good practical joke!
