Its better to have people think you're an idiot, than to open your mouth and prove them wrong, unless you doubt yourself then speak away....

Tommy - I was going by the photos of you sitting behind the Rogers kit. You seemed to tower over them. I remember thinking, 'He's a big dude!' LOL

I'm an inch behind you and ten pounds over you! I have to lose some weight! I'm getting a 'beer belly' and I don't drink beer!

John!

Ah!... yes, it's gotta be the "torso" height. Makes it "appear" that I tower over the drums. Funny too, as I sit pretty low... 21" throne height. That said, here's a shot floor tom side. Doesn't look like I'm dwarfing the set too bad. LOL! Also, apologies to Blair for any hi-jack of the thread. Not intended!

Tommy -

Sorry man, still looks like a 'Big-Man' sitting low to me! LOL

You look fine, I'm just ragging on you. ;)

I see you play using your second finger & thumb to grip, low on the stick. I hold it like that, (switch the grip from first finger/thumb to second finger/thumb when I need to move the fulcrum down a little,) for fast ride work. The stick just floats in there, forefinger is just on the side, kind of like a guide if I need it. Do you switch back and forth or use the second finger grip exclusively?
