once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.
Oh yeah I hear yah. I am a young buck in this vintage drum game and one thing I am learning is there is always another deal around the corner. Sometimes you have to pull the trigger though and lately I have had a lot of luck with just snares.
Can't wait to see pictures.

If it's too good to pass up, whatcha gonna do? Stack'em up. My favorite set is a "player's kit" that was $350.00. I'm playing Americana, Jazz, and blues. I don't care that they've been modded. They work great! They're getting gigged regularly. 1940's Radio Kings....
I have my eye on one the exact same thing as yours, was going to check it out tomorrow.
dated sept. 1963. What would be a fair asking price on these nowadays?

I have the exact same kit (same sizes, same marbled design and color,) sitting in my basement awaiting cleaning and assembly. I can't wait to hear what they sound like. My bass drum is a 24", what size is yours?
You did a terrific job on yours. They look great, they're being played, and they probably sound better than 85% of what is out there. You've motivated me to get my kit up and running!
