These Rogers R-380 are on the Orlando CL for $200. They look pristine and a nice wrap. I like the look of these. Not that familiar with them. I know they are not the Rogers most of us own. I realize they are MIJ or Taiwan. Just liked the wrap.

I think those are the Yamaha made ones from the late 60s/early 70s and should be really good, especially for $200. There is definitely nothing wrong with the Yamaha kits from this period.

Very cool! Those are the MIJ Yamaha drums that were made with Birch shells. The hardware on those drums are nice as well. I currently restoring the same kit in red.

I'd be buying those- thin, Gretsch-like shells and good solid hardware. Probably the best drums being built in Japan at that time.

Had a kit like that here in NC with a lower asking price. Now kicking myself for not buying it. I would jump on it.

Orlando is a couple of hours from me and I really don't have room for another kit. Just thought someone else in the Orlando area might see this post and want them.

Scam alert!!!!! This was my drumset that I sold to my buddy up the street for his recording studio. He repaced them with a DW kit and is letting it go on CLEVELAND OH. craigslist! I'm at his house about every day and pass it as I walk in.

The Yamaha shells were not really that thin and definitely nothing like Gretsch. Not sure why people compare them to Gretsch. Maybe because of the painted interiors and no re-rings. Actually, the Yamahas from that era were made better than Gretsch in terms of construction quality. Tight seams, quality plating, working strainers, great tom mounts, etc. Yamaha's lower line drums in the late 60's had much thinner shells than the YD line but were more like standard cheap imports.
