1967 Ludwig Mod Orange 22-13-16 - consolette rail mount w/ Cases

This is from my private collection, never thought I'd sell them but here it goes.

Photos coming soon,

ALL original minus one bass drum hoop inlay. All original hoops and hardware. NO HOLES Wrap is mint ALL the Pink/ purple is still present on these drums which you rarely find on all the mods usually worn/faded. They are occasionally pulled out and used, then back into cases. I am the second owner and previous owner kept them in closet for sentimental reasons, that would explain the condition and no fading.

$4k

I can't understand why this finish is so sought after, is it because it's rare?

Hey, Not sure what that question is insinuating, any who , I'm offering this kit for sale and would like to keep it clean in here, serious inquiry only

I think it is an honest question, don't get oversensitive.

Yes, the drums are valuable due to the rarity of the finish. Ironically, because of the very fact the finishes were not very popular when they were introduced, they are a scarce and valuable commodity.

Now, the question is are they a $4000 commodity? This depends on what the market will bear. A year ago, I sold a mint unfaded psych red kit and begged and begged for $3500, then, $3000. They ended up fetching in the mid $2000's. For a stunning, collector grade kit.

I believe the mod orange is even more rare and should command even more, but it really is up to the market. And it's quite a buyer's market out there. I would think a guy like Steve Maxwell would be asking right around what the seller here is - high "blue book". Most of the rest of us can't command his prices, I've found, though it works for him.

Good luck to the seller with this kit. It is surely beautiful and rare.

Also, note to the seller: I think your listing would benefit from much better pictures as well as a thorough detailing of all the chrome. Your current presentation doesn't do the kit justice IMHO.
