Hi Guys,

I`ve been trying to post a pic on the 'Drum Image Gallery' and i know how to upload from photo bucket to there. But when i do, the pics are there when you click on the post, but nothing but a red X when you initially look at it, instead of the small pic that should be there..How do i get a pic to be there where that red X is? I see others have had this prob as well due to the other red X`s i see there.Any help here would be greatly appreciated-i`ve been trying to fiqure this out for awhile. Many thanks for any help at all.

Wayne!

We have a little tutorial on just that question: HOW do I post pics on the VDF? I will insert the link for you to view, but before I do that...

We ALWAYS want the membership to use ATTACHMENTS, and not a pic hosting service for pics on the VDF, and that holds true for ANY catagory. The "Drum Image Gallery" will NOT accept a pic from a pic hosting site, as the file is most probably too large, and/or it won't upload properly, both of which result in the Red X. Speaking of the Red X: We stay on top of that pretty well for the most part. I scrolled through 20 pages of pics in the Gallery and didn't see a single Red X. Don't know why you were seeing those.. unless .. some got by us and are buried deeper in the catagory. That would be possible of couse! Anyway...

What you want to do is get the pic/pics that you want to post to the "Gallery" on your hard drive first, then from there... size them for the forum as we have parameters that the attachments have to comply with... and from there it will be easy. The first thing though is to send the pics to a folder on YOUR hard drive, and work from there. Have a look at this link:

Hopefully this answered your question and was of help!
