You can't really blame them. Buy low, sell high is an age old, well proven methodology.

It's nice when they buy low, sell low as well. I got a 22" 50s A ride from them for $50 last year. Several other good buys, but that one surprised me to see on the wall.

Though they have the audacity to be selling it at twice what they paid me. Ha! Good luck.

That's not "audacity", that's "profit margin". If you think that's bad, there's a popular used music store in Portland who has the policy of buying gear for 1/3 of what they will sticker it at. Of course, they sit on lots of merchandise, but their store is always well-stocked!

I emailed one of the new York g. c. 3 times and was on the phone with them multiple times on a vintage snare, and before we finished the transaction was complete they sold it to a ebay reseller. the customer service is horrible, and they have no problem lying to you about it!

other than that they are great.............

i have never seen one this nice of shape! a drum tech that worked there traded them in on new Yamaha's and they were his family drums this was a real light minty green almost white pearl but no fade and no strainer had late model p85

the base also had late model spurs added i am not stupid i would of bought them if there were no mods there with a clear set he also traded hope he likes his new imports

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

The coffee almost came out of my nose as I read that this morning. A quick check of GC's vintage inventory produced no green pearl $800 Radio Kings, unfortunately.

I'm no expert but I'd say if they were nice with a few mods yes they are still worth it. That's a pretty rare finish you don't see that often.
