The Set O Matic looks to be the later version.. Does the badge on it say Patented, or Pat Pending?.. also the mount is reversed at the ball...

Ok, but the FT is stamped 1966, see attached photo. Maybe I just need to look closer for a filled vent hole.
The Set O Matic looks to be the later version.. Does the badge on it say Patented, or Pat Pending?.. also the mount is reversed at the ball...
There's no stamp on the Set O Matic, at least on the top. I'll take it off again tomorrow and see if there's a stamp on the bottom.
"mount is reversed?" Do you mean the T screw of the BD tom mount should face away from the drummer?

Re the T screw... yes to the front... Re the Patented/ Pending it's on the top of the BD mount under the Black Slingerland Plasticized insert...
