if the SN's were closer I would believe it...the wrap looks too good, heads look too good and the story looks too good...CryBaby

SERIAL #'S 139336 & 126751 on the same bass drum? Even pulling badges at random from a bin, that seems like a huge jump between numbers, but who knows? It's possible.

And I was just in Bangor five days ago. Wish I had known. I could have at least taken a look at them.

not uncommon at all to see that serial number gap during that production period. ive got an original 22/12/12/16 kit from march of 65. three drums are 95xxx and one of the ride toms is 99xxx. ive seen a good bit of this during that time frame.

That kit belonged or belongs to a DFO member with an excellent reputation.

I would bet it's no doubt ,the real deal, and one beautiful set of drums.

Good luck with the auction.

During the Ringo fury the numbers on badges were all over the map. They would grab badges out of the bin and slap them on the drums just to get them out.

That kit looks legit to me, wrap and all and it is very rare. If I had the coin, it would be sitting in my drum space. Black Galaxy is the t-i-t-s.

Too many great drums to list here!

Not a huge jump at all, considering it was 65'....badges had not been tampered with. Wrap goes into the scarf. It's all real.

Thanks man...yep those were mine...and the real deal. I wish I didn't have to move them but it was part of a trade that was non negotiable to the new owner.

I agree Mike...and the funny thing was about the set was the floor tom badge was fairly close in number to one of the badges on the bass drum and the 13" was pretty close to the other badge.
