Jeff -- if those snare are complete and in the shape they appear to be in, that's not a bad price at all.

I cant afford them if they were .50 cents. I wanted to make others aware of it because it could be a good deal.

Thank you!

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

That's 10 miles from me...now why would I need more marching drums?

Don't worry... I'll think of a reason...

Very sorry to read your note, Jeff. Don't know what your story is but keep your head up and keep going strong.

Jeff - I wish you lived closer man. Are you feeling frustrated with your progress? Stuck? What you need is a good instructor/drum coach who can keep you moving forward, monitor your progress and help keep you motivated.

Everybody hits 'plateaus' and 'walls' along the way. You never get past them if you throw up your hands in frustration. Just like you did when you decided you were going to master carpentry, you didn't let mistakes, frustration with yourself, or anything else get in the way. You obviously love drums. That should be motivation enough to get you past whatever wall you've hit. Just don't quit now, or give up before giving yourself a fair chance to master the instrument. Once you relax and learn/practice some simple techniques, drumming will become a source of great joy and satisfaction for you.

Give yourself a chance... look how much time and money you already have invested. You're just going to walk away from all that?

Hang in there kitty! Besides, you're a good man to have around here. I'd hate to lose you.

K.O. I hope you get them, he sounds like a nice feller on the telyphone and he just wants to get rid of it all real quick.

Chris, the story is this, no work. I have lost out on two major jobs in a row. Now I will actually have to sell my drums to pay my bills.

John, as you see from above this is not a drumming issue. I will keep one kit and continue to play the drums. And when I can afford the gas I will go jam with my buddies. One of the guitar players bought a Ludwig Accent kit a while back just "have around" so I really just need one kit at home.

Congrats on your big score!

Thanks for the kind words and support guys! Im not going anywhere, I have a kit coming from a member that I will be doing a duco paint job on and will most likely start a thread on it. Besides, I might need some packing and shipping advice. Im gonna try to sell on Craigs List and here on VDF without shipping first. Taking pictures for the add today.

Thank you!

I'd much rather have heard that it was a 'drumming' issue! CryBaby

I'll keep a good thought for you and see if we can't get the Universe to send a little work your way!

Best wishes,

John
