Jeff: sorry to hear about your situation. I'm in Jersey, but I have friends in Mt.Prospect, I'll. I can call them and spread the word, kinda beat the bushes. How close are you to Mt. Prospect?

Sorry to hear you have to thin the heard. I hope you don't have to get rid of that beautiful Rogers kit. :(

I know this forum is about vintage drums, but I wonder if there is a way for you to advertise your services to the VDF community. I know you focus on cabinets, but I'm guessing you would be up for other jobs that involve woodworking.

We had our bathroom re-done about 5+ years ago and the carpenter made custom cabinets (Arts and Crafts style) that turned out great. We needed a custom mirror for one of the walls and he made one that matched the trim around the window frame. It really was a nice accent that helped finish up the project.

I'm guessing there might be some VDF members out there that might have some woodworking needs. ;)

Ok, bud. Then I'll just have to ask The Great Carpenter to send work your way!

Small world, I'm in Prophetstown...or what's left of it anyway.

So far all I've been able to get on these CL drums is his voice mail.

Jeff, I'm shattered to hear that... I have some work, but not enough to do you any good for the trip. I'd hire you in a heartbeat if it did.

Thanks to everyone! This thread is really about a bunch of drums for sale, not me. I will recover and I wont sell everything like I said, well at least for now.

K.O. did you get anywhere with the seller?

Thank you!

We're setting something up for early next week for me to look at them after work some night but the prices he was throwing out were too high to interest me in stuff I don't need for gigs I don't have. But I never pass up on an opportunity to look at a roomful of drums...just in case.

I was mainly interested in a Ludwig and Slingerland marching drum just for parts. He wanted 50 for each one and I figured I would pay more for that on ebay if I bought 16 lugs and a strainer for my upcoming projects. Plus I think he would take less than 50. Oh well good luck, I hope its not a waste of time.

Thank you!
