I now have 8x12", 9x13" toms and a 5x14" classic snare. All 1967, all sparkling blue pearl. Have been looking for a kick and floor tom Which "catalog" outfit should I try to build up?

A plain Jane Hollywood? 12/13/16/22

A cool little Rock Duo? 12/13/16/20/20

Or the daunting Blue Note? 12/13/16/18/22/22

I put the toms on a double tom stand and the snare just beneath them and sat behind them mimicking a double bass setup.

yeah a blue note would be like having your cake and eating it too. "Modern" setup with vintage drums.

But finding a 16x18" is gonna be the real feat.

And, I have the 16" floor tom you need... perfect blue sparkle, dated Jan. 6th (I think, maybe 9th) 1967.

Oh yeah, it's for sale or trade.

How about a "Blue Rock Hollywood Note"? :)

The last kit you'll ever need. Yeah, right. ;)

Met CD64 in Fresno today... we did a trade and now he's got his floor tom!

Great guy too! Fun afternoon, thanks!

Thank you! Floortom is emaculate!

And it was cool swapping gigging "now versus then" stories.

Awesome drum shop too.

Got my snares and bass drum logos for my Leedy, Gretsch, and Ludwig sets!

Nice to go to a shop ran by real people, not corporate automatons.

I've got to drag my brother there.
