Rogers assorted drums and hardware Last viewed: 8 hours ago

Hi,

Pics to follow, but don't have the drums in my possession yet.

Picked up 3 Red sparkle 60's Dayton with paper tags

Virgin 22", 20 lug bass, 13 " Tom and, Dayton Dynasonic chrome snare.

The seller included a supposed factory double Tom mount, and a Fullerton 12 " Tom in red sparkle.

He also threw in a red sparkle 60's Ludwig 16" floor tom, and a Rogers, Hi Hat, peddle and snare stand.

All the hardware supposedly came with the first 3 drums.

My question's are.

Should I preserve the virgin bass or drill it to accommodate the Tom hardware,

Is a 20 lug bass unusual? Condition is good on the bass except the inlays could be improved on.

How much value on the dynasonic in good condition?

How did I do for $800 for everything

Thanks a lot

If you drill into that bass drum, the collector's value will tank. It's your bass drum, but maybe you could mount the 12" off a snare stand on the left and the 13" off a cymbal stand to the right.

Would love to see some pictures. Depending on the condition of the drums, $800 seems like a good deal, when you price each drum individually. I've seen nice Dynasonics range from $300 up to $600+. Is the metal snare bridge still on the drum?

Pearl makes a single braced cymbal stand that fits that twin tom mount. Just remove the top cymbal section and slide the Rogers piece in. They also fit Slingerland mounts. Sturdy stand and single braced so they blend in to the Vintage equipment nicely.

You don't have to drill.

Nooo don't drill the bass drum. Like was said, that double Tom mount will fit many of the tripod bases. My Rogers double tom mount fits in my Atlas and Hercules bottom cymbal and Tom stands. Looking forward to pics.

Hi Tim,

I agree on the logic of not drilling.

Good suggestions on the toms.

Yes, the bridge on the dyna sonic is in tact.

Thnx a lot
