BS. I see price tags. Admit it. It's a show room.
What! No price sheet attached? ;-)

Dang. If it is a showroom, how much you got on that Rogers Spanish Gold Londoner V? Nice kit, for sure.

The price tags are from the drums I just picked up. Everything I have is "for sale" and this room is one of 4 rooms full of drums....the garage is being filled to the rafters too. The reason I have soooooo many drums is that I don't have the time to advertise, post, picture, list, follow-up etc. and so on.
I buy drums when the price is right and obviously the price tends to be right.
They will all be sold at some point I certainly hope but until they are, they're
"my drums" and this would be my "drum room". I should post the other rooms but I won't....the lighting is poor and the disorganization would be embarrassing..........

here's the room before the disease took full effect, when it really could be called a "show room", where finished sets were set up and buyers could actually play them. No more room for that any more. I swore I'd never stack drums but I have no choice. And somewhere in those stacks are 4
Ludwig Downbeat Black Oysters, 3 with matching Jazzfestival snares that are waiting for me to get sold. I ran one on ebay with a BOP Pioneer snare and it got plenty of inquireries but no buyers so it's back to the stack like all the others.
The Rogers kit mentioned here was just sold last night on ebay. I sure hate to use ebay but it does tend to get things sold.

Woweee! 4 rooms? You ARE a hoarder (as previously noted)! (JK)
Dang!! I gotta ask. Over how long a period did you accumulate your collection? Amazing, man. I am in awe. Reminds me of what the original Long Island Drum Center used to look like, back in the late 70's. Too cool! And, Bravo!

PS - CRAP!! You posted more, before I could chicken-peck my reply. Double HOT DANG!!

This thing started in 1998 when I bought 2 drum sets after coming out of an
18 year hiatus. I rewrapped the sets to make one double bass kit. I made a third set out of the pieces and sold it, almost immediately. So I bought another clunker, rewrapped and "refurbished" it and it sold instantly. That first year of doing this I sold so many drums I got scared and got a tax number and claimed the stuff (sort of). The more I did it the better quality drums I was exposed to and eventually I started noticing these drums are
vintage........so the rewrapping stopped and the refurbishing kicked into high gear. I bought sets for parts and parts for sets and before I knew it
I had quite a collection. I liked what I saw and dove in head first and here's where I am today. Not in a real hurry to sell any of them but that's what I have them for. Everything is paid for, no "overhead", not missing any meals....life is pretty good when I get home. And not only does my wife
"not mind", honestly, she polishes bags and bags of lugs, T's, claws and anything chrome...does a better job than I did and really knows her drums!!
So, obviously I am much more of a dealer than a collector, but until they sell
they are just part of my collection. All I need now is an education on vintage drums and a better knowledge of all these noisemakers in my house!
here's the rest of the room that was behind me when I took the picture, the next pic is the hallway that leads to 3 former bedrooms and a bathroom and shower stuffed with drums. I kid you not. This is what I did with my money instead of Differred comp. at my job. These are all my little C.D.'s, I.R.A.'s
etc...... I retire next month and then it's on.
