Just heard of them yesterday! Real rock and roll, recorded how real rock and roll was put on tape in the 50s. Drummer looks to be using a Leedy in WMP... but someone could probably correct me if I'm wrong. And, there is a quick shot of him using a Speed King!! These guys rock!

That is a very cool vid. I would say they did a good job of capturing the vibe, but that is not a Speed King. I would chalk that up as a mistake to let him use that modern pedal. Chuckie Ts good - modern pedal bad. I fault the producer.

Ok - I see it now - you were referring to the earlier shot, yeah SK there. Must be the later shot was of the HH pedal - which IS modern. It would have been easy to get a Luddy HH stand in there, especially how low their value is in the current market.

I did some reading up on them. The video for this song was shot in the attic of the bass player's home. That is where they recorded the album, as well as everything they used to record the album. They recorded 100% analog, with a 1/4" tape. Good stuff!

Until the British invasion in the mid-sixties, this is what -every- American band sounded like. We used to play a lot of sock-hops/dances and Rock-a-Billy, along with whatever tunes were being played on the radio, was the order of the day.
I'm happy to see some of the younger guys rediscovering not only this great American music, but how great old-school recording really is. Digital sucks moose kock! Mic four or five good musicians all playing in the same room and it's sonic MAGIC time. Phil Spector made a career out of it, it's called: The Wall Of Sound. The older phartz will know what I'm talking about.
Great band, I enjoyed the tune very much. Reminded me of my youth and how much fun it is to play that stuff.
