Maybe it can be clarified by posting if you bought any of the aforementioned drums.

From Phil Veritas

This is an interesting thread. I read this one and several others that were posted by Mikey777 and for some reason things just don't add up. So, I've been doing a little research. Just so you'll know, I'm a retired newspaper reporter that worked for many, many years at the largest newspaper in Orange County, CA. So, I'm used to digging up facts. And usually when my instincts tells me there's something wrong, they're right. So, this thread... Mikey777 said he was posting these 40 drums on this forum before he put them on ebay, so this was his only source for buyers. He said that he would sell them on a first come first served bases and apparently he sold all 40 drums within 2 hours, exclusively to members of this forum. Yet nobody on this forum seems to have purchased any. Mikey777, what happened to the 40 drums? Did you ever really have them? His Christmas Present story has some questionable math to it also. He states he left at 1:30 am and he dropped off the last set at 7:00 am. So let's see, that's 5.5 hours to drive 500 miles. So, Santa/Mikey777, you were doing 100 mph and your brother was throwing the sets off the back of the truck while you sped by?I don't know Mikey777. Maybe you just like to exaggerate, or maybe you flat out lie. You've got me curious now and I'm going to have to do a little more research.Talk to you soon.Phil VeritasHmmmm

This is to Mr. Philly----FIRST OF ALL HOW DARE YOU CALL MR A LIER....First i can see how bad of a newspaper reporter you were you can't get the fact's right and put's word's in people mouth..First of all if Mr. know it all read my postings, my first posting was on 11-15 at 12.39 A.M. then on 11-15 i Posted all the drums were sold that posting was at 11.51 P.M.That's 2 hour's right? do the math...I Never said that this was my only place that i was selling the drums at.I SAID THAT I DON'T WANT TO SELL THEM ON EBAY,THAT I WANTED TO PASS A DEAL ONTO SOME MEMBER'S ON THE FORUM...As you guy's know i sell on other place's then this forum.I posted on these forum's and place's but i did post here first. All the listings were posted with in 5 minut's of each other.

Now Mr/ know it all let's move onto my Christmas story.Yes this is true.i have done this for year's all my life.Again you got the story all wrong with your MATH..If you know the fact's i did give away 7 set's 3 set's in my home town and i would say about 60 mile's total in driving. Then the next set's the other 4 in a town that is 115 mile's away each way so what a total of 230 mile's its all FREE WAY driving just to get their and back maybe another 60 or 70 mile's of driving to pass out the set's.So about 400 mile's i did not write it down. So i was off alittle but what is the big deal?? Mikey

this site is just becoming a place where people p!ss and moan!!

Mikey has had probably thousands of sales on this site. if i am correct, he is also a drum dept manager? or owns his own shop? something like that.

leave the man alone and dont b!tch because you missed out on an item. im sure all of us have missed out on dozens of deals in our lives, no reason to grow a vag!na about it.

Mikey is a stand up guy and has every dang part known to man, i suggest not crapping on him or when ur looking for a part for your project you will be SOL.

man what the hell happened here?? ive seen TONS of guys come under fire lately, and always saw Mikey as the godfather of parts on this site.

yall need to get back to living life and cut the complaining out, its ridiculous on here. bunch of damn children.

When buying or selling on the forum everybody would benefit by treating other members just as they would like to be treated. It is that simple.

I'm just curious why someone would think they had bought an item when they got no notification that they had?

I'd assume the opposite, I do believe?

The seller would surely seek one out for their money if they intended to sell it to a party?

Two cents......., I got no dog in this hunt.

OK I'm about done with this. If some people insist on posting without reading or having the ability to comprehend the thread it's an exercise in futility.

SAY AGAIN! read post numbers 18 and 20. I wasn't assuming anything other than Mikey was very busy packing and shipping 40 drums. I would do the same again if the circumstances were the same.

I simply asked if anybody had pics of these drums to show off (happens quite often here). Turns out that NOBODY here was fast enough to catch one of these elusive creatures even though they were being offered to us first! Somebody post some before and afters and I'll kneel down and kiss the ring of the "Godfather of parts" as the RBD called him.

Oh and FYI. There are ZERO classifieds on any other drum forum on the 'net where a seller is offering these drums as was stated in an earlier post: not on the same date, not on any date. If I'm wrong please provide just one or two links.

The point is that honesty goes a long way and at this point I wouldn't buy a complete NOS RB Gretsch kit in sealed cartons from Mikey if he was selling it for TEN DOLLARS.

Try to comprehend, You treat folks the way you want to be treated. Love, peace and har' grease.

Believe it or else!

Well, good morning to you all, or afternoon, or whatever. First off Mr. Roundbadgedude, I was not complaining about missing out on the deal. I wasn't even a member here until well after this offer was made. I was simple referencing the facts that had been made previously in this thread and how they could lead someone to the conclusion that there were no drums for sale in the first place. This, Mr. Snurf, should be a concern to the entire forum. If somebody, anybody is making fraudulent claims in their offers. I think the well intentioned members should be aware of who they are dealing with and not have it hidden away in a PM just because it makes you uncomfortable.

Mr. Roundbadgedude, I have read almost ever post that Mikey777 has made on this forum and I will be the first to admit he knows a great deal about vintage drums and has provided many, many members with parts they probably couldn't have gotten without him. I'd even go as far as to say that I am convinced that he is a great asset to this forum, as long as one sticks to actual vintage drums and their several parts. But, once he starts in on his personal stories they are, I'm sorry to say, complete fabrications. I can say this without reservation because I have done my research and have managed to find out who Mikey777 really is.

Mikey777, I have no intention of outing you here on this board. I've given it a great deal of thought, and although you may be a liar when it comes to your personal life, I can't find where you've ever cheated anyone. And, as I said before, you are a great asset to this forum. I'll leave it at that for now, Mikey, but remember, the Internet only provides so much anonymity and anyone who knows what they're doing can find out pretty much anything they want. You may think you can get away with coming on a board like this and making yourself out to be someone a great deal better than you really are. But the facts about your truly pathetic existence are out there if your know where to look.

Oh, and one more thing before I sign off here. Mikey777, is English your native language? If so, where the hell did you go to school?

Nice try Kevin. That was 3 days after the first post. I was at that point, waiting to hear from Mikey figuring he would say" yes,you replied in time or sorry Bud too late"as were more than a few other members.

I think that Mikey got a better offer where he made more money, no packing or shipping and all of us be damned.
