Yet After pouring oil in every spot that might sqeak The SK still had a squeak. I found the screw that tightens the heel plate to the footboard was tight but let the heel plate rattle a bit. I bent the washer a bit so the heel plate is now tight to the footboard..I have had this SK for years.It looks and plays great,except for the darn squeaks.I installed the plastic sleeve on the foorboard rod too.I am going to give this a shot at the next practice to see if all is quite on the drumming front.

Has this footboard issue ever been brought up in a Speek King squeek post?I havent seen one in all of the ones I have read so I am thowing in my 2 cents/ Maybe it will help somebody down the road,V
