Everybody wants one, but in todays economy, how many of us can afford to spend close to $20,000. for a snare drum without having to refinance the house? The market for items like this is small. Very-well-to-do collectors would be the only ones able to play in that league. Working stiffs like me can only "lust in their heart" as Jimmy Carter once said.
Good luck to Steve Maxwell finding a buyer. Maybe a drummer from a rich oil family in Dubai, or one of those Japanese collectors who are willing to pay top dollar for American made collectables will scoop it up. Won't be me, or anyone else I know. That's for sure.
